El actor Forest Whitaker y el presidente de la Academia, Sid Ganis, anunciaron hoy las nominaciones a las distintas categorías de los Oscar 2009. La película que se estrena hoy en las salas chilenas llamada “The Curious Case of Bejamin Button” y que es protagonizada por Brad Pitt, obtuvo 13 nominaciones, por delante de la reciente ganadora a Mejor Película Drama de los Globos de Oro “Slumdog Millionaire”, que se alzó “sólo” con 10 nominaciones.

Para Mejor Película se encuentran la película de David Fincher “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, la de Ron Howard “Frost/Nixon”, la de Gus Van Sant “Milk”, la de Stephen Daldry “The Reader” y la de Danny Boyle “Slumdog Millionaire”.
